Break The Cycle
Bin The Knife

We are thrilled to announce an exciting development at Mary’s Charity that promises to make our communities even safer. We are launching our latest initiative with our on site knife bin.

At Mary’s Charity, we are always striving to find innovative ways to combat youth violence and promote a safer environment for all. The introduction of our on-site knife bin is a significant step forward in achieving these goals.

Mary’s Charity recognises the vital role that knife bins play in enhancing the safety and well-being of our communities in the UK. Through these bins, we take a significant step towards preventing tragedies, removing weapons from circulation and fostering community engagement.

Mary’s charity has taken a significant step forward by installing three additional knife bins across the borough of Camden. These bins are essential in our efforts to reduce violence safely and with minimal risk to our team. We are dedicated to fostering emotional and social development, offering practical assistance, and providing care to young people. By supporting them in finding alternatives to violence and unlocking their potential, we contribute to a safer community. These knife bins are a vital component of our strategy, ensuring a practical and secure way to diminish violence.

The presence of knife bins allows us to promptly collect and secure potentially dangerous weapons, creating a safer environment for everyone. The immediate removal of knives from circulation can prevent potential tragedies and reduce the risk of violence. Every knife deposited in one of our bins is one less weapon that could potentially cause harm. This real-time impact is a crucial aspect of our strategy, as it provides an immediate solution to a pressing problem.

Immediate Accessibility

Immediate Accessibility

Having a knife bin on-site ensures that our staff team’s health and safety are prioritised. Vulnerable individuals in our community can easily and safely dispose of knives that are not wanted. This accessibility reduces the likelihood of knives being passed on and used in act of violence.

Real-Time Impact

Community Involvement

Community Involvement

By installing these bins on-site, we encourage active participation from community members in our mission to combat knife crime. It promotes a sense of ownership and responsibility within the community, fostering a united front against violence.

Core Cohort Support

Core Cohort Support

Alongside our knife bin, we provide practical violence reduction, emotional and social support to young people involved or at risk of Serious Youth Violence through Mary’s Core Cohort Support program. This includes support to amnesty weapons. Together, we can work towards a more informed and safer society.
