Know Your Power - A Program to Prevent Knife Crime

‍Know Your Power addresses the real feelings, real situations, and real consequences of knife crime. The course teaches young people to see their POWER outside of a knife or a way of life and to identify actions they can take to build confidence, creativity, and a brighter future.

  • Discussing the legal reality, such as being stopped and searched or found in possession of a weapon.
  • Exploring personal power and future dreams
  • Understanding why someone may carry a knife and what influences them to stop.
  • Recognizing consequences for prisoners and those impacted by knife crime.
  • Addressing gangs, postcode wars, and robberies, with practical strategies to reduce risk.

Working Together Through Referrals

At Mary's Charity, we operate on a referral system, collaborating closely with community and organizational partners, as well as caseworkers, to identify and reach those who can benefit most from our programs.
