What we do
At Mary's Charity, our work centers on keeping young people safe, building their emotional skills, and equipping them with essential life skills for a positive future. We focus on immediate safety through efforts like removing weapons from situations, mediating between groups, hospital visits, de-escalation strategies, and providing prison support.
To foster emotional resilience, we help young people develop healthy attachments, coping mechanisms, and a better understanding of trauma, which reduces their risk to themselves and others, raises self-esteem, and lowers the likelihood of violence.
Finally, through our education and life skills programs, we provide school-based and behavioral support, improve communication and self-management, and offer employment assistance to help them become “learning-ready” and prepared for future success.
